Kelly Beal
Director/Owner
Kelly moved to the valley in 2009 from New Jersey. She has a degree in elementary education and sociology, married to a Colorado native with whom she has a daughter, and has been a director of early education in the valley for 8+ years. Kelly enjoys the outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and traveling.
Justice Wofford
Director/Floater Teacher
Justice is a native of the valley, a mother of two, and a great addition to the admin team. She also serves as a floater teacher in rooms and also steps in as the Wild Wanderer teacher on Fridays. Justice loves traveling with her family, being outdoors, and being involved in her community.
Yazbeth Ortega
Lead Teacher
Toddler 2
Yazbeth was born in Orange County, CA and moved to Guanajuato, Mexico at a very early age where she was raised by her mother. She eventually moved to CO in 2013 and has been a teacher in early childhood for over 2 years. Yazbeth has a love for young children and actually has two of her very own. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing and spending time with them.
Yulissa Ramirez
Lead Teacher
Preschool 2
Yulissa is another teacher born and raised in the valley and she has always admired the peace and beauty of it. Yulissa has a little girl and loves being a mom and she brings that love and care to the kids in her class. In her spare time, she enjoys anything outdoors, such as camping and fishing, and teaching kids brings her so much joy.
Paula Galleano
Lead Teacher
Wild Wanderers
Paula is originally from Argentina but has been living in the Roaring Fork Valley for 21 years and even married an Aspen local. She has a young son, also at Honey Tree, and loves being a mom. She enjoys being outside with her dog and sun and is very active in the community. She has been a wonderful addition to our new Wild Wanderer outside program!
Dustin Robertson
Director/Owner
Dustin is originally from New Jersey and has known Kelly Beal since both were in high school. She has lived in the valley for 10 years and has a daughter who also attends Honey Tree. Dustin enjoys being outdoors and being active with her family and two dogs.
Angelica Hernandez
Lead Teacher
Toddler 1
Angelica has been with Honey Tree for a few years now and is our Mother Goose of the Toddler 1 room. Out of all of our teachers, Ms. Angelica is the most colorful dresser and enjoys wearing big, fun accessories and considers it part of her fun personality. She loves working with the youngest children the most and being a part of the Honey Tree team!
Katherine Sanchez
Lead Teacher
Preschool 1
Katherine was born and raised here in Colorado and graduated from Basalt High School. She comes from a big family surrounded by kids so working in a preschool environment is perfect and natural for her! In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and watching her daughter grow.
Leslie Gomez
Assistant Teacher
Preschool 2
Leslie was born in Aspen and raised here in the valley, but her parents are from Zacatecas, Mexico. Growing up, she took care of her siblings and a few other kids, which gave her a lot of experience. In a few years, she hopes to own a coffee shop where she can share her love for coffee and baking sweet treats. It’s a dream that combines her passions perfectly.
Sue Hankinson
Director
Originally from NY, Sue has embraced the Roaring Fork Valley as her home for over 26 years. She has over 20 years in Early Childhood Education as a teacher, assistant director and Director along with specialized work with children with special needs. She and her husband have 4 daughters and enjoy gardening, rafting, camping, hiking and travelling as often as possible.
Ana Bautiste

Toddler 1
Ana has been a great, creative, and patient member of our Honey Tree team! She works side by side with her mother in our Toddler 1 room and gives so much patience, love and care. Ana graduated from Basalt High recently and is excited to use her creative side and learn new things.
Carolina Campos
Lead Teacher
Preschool 1
Carolina is from El Salvador and arrived here in the Valley in 2015. She have 4 children, the youngest is here in Honey Tree. She has been working in early childhood education for three years and loves her job! She is currently taking ECE classes at CMC to further her education. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family.
Ashley Guzman
Lead Teacher
Pre-K
Ashley was born in Denver, Co and raised here in the valley. She is Salvadoran and graduated from basalt high school. She enjoys working with kids, and eventually wants to go into psychology in the future. She has always cared for children starting with her 2 younger sisters and cousins. Out of work, she loves to spend time with friends and family. Traveling is something she wants to start doing more of.
Maryori Cañas (Lily)
Float Teacher
Lily was born and raised in El Salvador, and she came to the United States when she was 12yo. She graduated from Basalt High School and is interested in going into the dentistry field at some point in the future. She loves and cares for kids because she has always wished for a sibling as an only child. On her time off she loves to give her time to God and family.
